Quick Snow Day

My husband bought a new truck last week and has been dying to test out the 4WD on it.  The past few days we have had a lot of rain here in California and when we woke up today we noticed that snow had levels had dropped to about 1000 ft!  We live about 45 minute from mountains that tall and only an hour and a half from mountains about 7000-8000 ft.  We packed up our snow gear and two other couples and headed up!  It was beautiful and we had more than enough snow to play in but only a mile into Sequoia National Park the road was blocked off due to some fallen trees in the roadways.  Andrew didn't get to use his 4WD but we still had a great time playing in the snow, sliding down hills, and building a snowman!
