Driving through the San Andreas Fault Line
Driving on the West 198 ... who knew this freeway went so far!
Then in Salinas, tragedy struck!!!
We stopped at AMPM to get some drinks and when we got back into my car something was majorly wrong... We waited an hour and a half for a tow truck to take our car to a shop. As we were waiting a nice homeless man and his friends talked to us about what could be wrong. He gave us really good advice and helped us figure out it was the fuel pump. His friend even offered us beers, if I wasn't so distraught, I would have taken some pics of our new friends!
We took our car to a place where the tow truck driver told us people get shot and advised Andrew not to ride his bike because he will probably get jumped.
Gomez Auto was the ONLY place open on a Saturday past 2pm so we really didn't have many options.
Despite the warning of the tow truck driver, we explored anyways... Good to know they deliver...
Who needs delivery when there are syringes in the streets?!
Close Up...
Once the car was fixed, we decided to go on with our trip... Unfortunately, we were too late to grab a first come first serve camp site. At least before we headed back home after a horrible waste of a day, we got to see some beautiful views.
Until next time Big Sur... And please treat us with better care in the future!!
